Tuition, Scholarships and Financial Aid

2024-2025 Scholarships and Financial Aid

SHA enrolls and graduates a highly capable and diverse student body each year. We strive to make the SHA experience as affordable as possible for as many as possible by managing tuition costs. We are also committed to attracting and retaining the most talented student scholars.

To support these commitments, SHA is proud to offer a balance of various merit and need-based scholarship opportunities.

 Merit-Based Scholarships

The  Joseph Scholarship is the highest and most prestigious award offered to incoming students. This partial scholarship recognizes proven academic achievement. A scholarship recipient must maintain honor roll status each year for her scholarship to be renewed.  The Cathedral Scholarship also recognizes academic achievement. Other partial scholarships are awarded at various levels each year based on the applicant pool.

 Need-Based Scholarships

The Dear Neighbor Scholarship is a full tuition need-based scholarship awarded to an incoming 9th grade student with preference to a young woman with demonstrated financial need and who also displays a desire, along with the academic ability, to succeed and become a contributing member of the Sacred Heart community.

To be considered, an applicant must list Sacred Heart (with preference given to those girls who select SHA as her first choice school on the TACHS exam Test for Admissions Into Catholic High Schools-CODE 695), have an 85% or above grade point average, complete a Financial Aid application at Facts Management Grant & Aid and submit two letters of recommendation.  The scholarship is renewable for all four years provided the student maintains a weighted grade point average of 85% or higher, maintains honor roll status each year, and is an active participant in the school community.

Heart Academy Alumnae to a young woman who exemplifies the true character of Sacred Heart Academy.
She displays a desire, along with the academic ability, to succeed and become a contributing member of
the Sacred Heart Academy community and subsequently the Alumnae. This is a partial need-based scholarship available to incoming 9th grade students with a Sacred Heart alumna connection.

To be considered, an applicant must list Sacred Heart as her first choice school on the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS-CODE 695), have an 85% or above grade point average, complete a Financial Aid application at Facts Management Grant & Aid * and submit three letters of recommendation.  The scholarship dollar amount, averaging $2,000, is determined by the Alumnae Scholarship Committee and is based on demonstrated financial need and desire to be a committed member of the SHA Community.  The scholarship is renewable for all four years provided the student meets the necessary criteria and maintains honor roll status each year. Applicants who do not receive the Alumnae Scholarship may still be eligible for Financial Aid.
