The SHA Music Department is proud to announce that we have several students who have been selected for this year’s All County Festival, hosted by the Nassau Music Educators Association. These students will be performing in January at the Tilles Center with the best high school musicians in the county:
Orchestra
Elizabeth Cheque, grade 10, violin
Anaya Hepburn, grade 10, cello
Concert Band
Ellen Bennett, grade 10, piccolo
Gianna Cedrone, grade 12, clarinet
Isabelle DePalma, grade 11, trumpet
Chorus
Isabella Cabrera, grade 9, soprano
Caterina Dottino, grade 12, soprano
Eva Gargiulo, grade 10, soprano
In addition, Eva Gargiulo was also selected to play double bass in the Long Island String Festival Association’s 9th and 10th grade orchestra. Their concert will be in February, and will also feature the best orchestra students in Nassau County.
Students were selected for both of these festivals based on their NYSSMA Solo Festival ratings from last spring. We are so proud of their hard work, and we wish them all the best!
