Salutatorian Spotlight Tiffany Felix '23

Tiffany Felix

What is the key ingredient to being successful in school?
The key ingredient to success in school is knowing when to ask for help when needed. The smartest people aren't the ones who always have an answer but those who know where to find it. Being too afraid to ask for help when one genuinely needs it does more harm than good.

What are your future plans for college/life?
My future plans for college are to douse my curiosity when the knowledge I will receive in university. I have the aptitude to want to know a little bit about everything. Whether that means my love for science or something more philosophical or artistic, I hope I can scratch my academic itch. As for life, I hope to eventually become a perinatologist and help lower the mortality rate of women in labor. Please pray for me and wish me luck.

What classes/extracurriculars benefited you the most? Why?
I feel like I benefited from all my classes at Sacred Heart, even those that I didn't enjoy as much because all classes encouraged me to become a well-rounded individual. The classes I enjoyed the most however are all my math and french classes. The extracurricular that benefitted me the most is probably the writing club because it gave me the courage to reveal to others my most vulnerable pieces of art through words. I find that the way that I express myself has become more adept as time went on.

To whom or what do you owe your success?
I know this may seem cliche but I owe much of my success to my parents and to God. Even when I couldn't bare to hear any more of their nagging, it is my parents that kept me on the right track and allowed me to flourish at a college-preparatory school like Sacred Heart Academy. I also know that I am only able to flourish because of the grace and love of God.

What do you consider your greatest achievement at SHA?

Tiffany Felix

My greatest achievement at SHA is becoming Salutatorian. I would have never imagined myself in this position but now that I am here, I can look back at all the hard work that put in all four years and be proud.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
One thing I would like to add is Sacred Heart is not just the school building to me but my friends, teachers, faculty, and the memories I have abounded during my time here. I can only hope that future students will share the same sentiment as do I at my future University.
