Susanna Denny '24 was awarded the AATI Long Island Dr. Giuseppe Battista Scholarship for overall excellence in Italian over a four year period at the Annual Dante Award & Scholarship Luncheon.
It was presented by Dr. Battista's daughter, Danielle Battista-Caruthers who is a SHA graduate of 1994. Dr. Battista was a founding member of AATI and an intricate factor in getting Italian to be taught in school districts all around Long Island, including Sacred Heart.
Susanna Denny's dedication to Italian studies has not gone unnoticed, as she has consistently demonstrated a deep passion for the language and culture. The AATI Dr. Giuseppe Battista Scholarship is a well-deserved honor for her hard work and commitment to excellence. Susanna's achievements serve as an inspiration to her peers and a testament to the value of pursuing one's academic interests with diligence and enthusiasm. Congratulations Susanna!
