Sacred Heart Academy senior Susanna Denny's article, "Exploring Perspectives of Climate Change and Causes of Eco-Anxiety in High School Students" has been accepted for publication by The Curieux Academic Journal, a California-based, student-run, peer-reviewed, nonprofit journal for the nation's best secondary research (Fall 2024). Ms. Denny was mentored by Sacred Heart Academy Research Director, Dr. Stephen Sullivan.
A brief abstract of her article reads as follows: This study explored adolescents' perspectives and understandings of climate change, and how this background knowledge shapes their inclination to engage in sustainable behaviors. It examined causes of eco-anxiety in high school students, including environmental sustainability. Other causal factors remain to be identified.
Susanna's publication is Sacred Heart Academy's third such accomplishment this year, and eighteenth since 2020.
