Italian Adventure 2024

During the Easter Break, Mr. Powers, Mr. Puca, Ms. Lavery, Ms. Fincher and Ms. Tullino accompanied a large group of students to Italy. It was an amazing trip!

Our excursion commenced in the beautiful city of VENICE...An archipelago consisting of over 118 islands and nearly 150 canals. While in Venice, we all took a Gondola ride, visited St. Mark's Square, the Basilica of St. Mark, the Bridge of Sighs, the Doge's Palace, the Grand Canal and the iconic Rialto Bridge.

Our next stop was the city of FLORENCE; the cradle of the Renaissance. While in Florence, we participated in a fresco making workshop, visited the famous Baptistry Doors, the Piazza della Signoria and the Academia. We had the privilege of celebrating Easter Mass at the world famous Duomo di Firenze. (Florence Cathedral) Construction on the cathedral began in 1296 and it was consecrated in 1436.

While in Rome, we toured the Vatican; which is the smallest sovereign nation in the world. While there, we explored the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. We wrapped up our visit to Rome with a pizza making lesson and a gelateria tour and tasting.
