Congratulations to SHA delegates:
Sara Giura, Sienna Laderoute, Alucha Charles, Joelle Ghiradella, Aurelie Clement, Lila Gunnells, Mia Moran, Liv Geffner, Taylor Truesdell and Madison Labossiere for their successful role in negotiating, drafting resolutions and resolving conflicts at the Hofstra 2024 Model United Nations Conference which took place over three days from Friday, March 1st - Sunday March 3rd, 2024.
This year’s conference, themed: Towards a Sustainable Future, donated a portion of the proceeds to support the sustainability related endeavors of the Sierra Club Long Island Group which aims to help project Long Island’s native ecosystems. Aligned with the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph’s environmental initiatives and with Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ Movement, our student delegates aimed to achieve environmental sustainability throughout the duration of this conference.
This amazing group of students outshined the brightest stars in the sky with their knowledge, enthusiasm, and willingness to diplomatically collaborate with the other participants. Congratulations SHA-MUN for this remarkable accomplishment!
