Sacred Heart Academy senior Ellen Byrnes ran the fifth best time in the country in the 600m this past weekend at the Stanner Games at the Armory in Manhattan. Ellen’s time of 1:34.45 was a two-second personal best over her previous time.
Upon finishing the event, Ellen was invited by the meet director to compete at the prestigious Dr. Sander Invitational, also taking place at the Armory on January 27th. She will compete there with other top high school invited athletes, as well as college and professional athletes.
Ellen has committed to continue her outstanding academic and track careers at the University of Pennsylvania.
