Congratulations, Class of 2022

Among the talented class of 2022, Angela Dattoma was named the Valedictorian, and Olivia Christel as the Salutatorian. Both girls excelled in their scholarly pursuits, as well as balancing their extracurricular activities and volunteer work throughout their time at Sacred Heart.

Angela, a National Merit Commended Scholar, was an accomplished member of the Chamber Ensemble, Pit Band, Italian Club, and Science Olympiad. Outside of SHA, Angela was invited to the NYSSMA and All-County festivals, along with the Long Island String Festival, for her aptitude in playing the violin. She enjoyed acting as a lector at her local Church and often volunteered with the Island Harvest Food Bank for Long Island. Angela will be bringing her talents to Boston College in the fall, studying Biochemistry.

Olivia, also a National Merit Commended Scholar, was a brilliant player on the varsity volleyball team, in addition to leading the Speech and Debate Team, participating on the Math Team, and singing within the Chamber Chorus and the Praise and Worship Choir. Along with her vocal talents, she was also invited to the NYSSMA festival for her piano playing skills. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart and attended multiple spiritual conferences by participating in the club Common Ground. Olivia will be bringing her talents to Georgetown University in the fall, studying Psychology.
