Angela Dattoma of Lynbrook, NY has been named the Valedictorian of Sacred Heart Academy’s Class of 2022. Olivia Christel of Carle Place, NY, has been named Salutatorian.
Angela Dattoma, who finished at the top of SHA’s talented senior class, has been recognized for her success as a National Merit Commended Scholar and was awarded a National Italian Exam Gold Medal, and the Scholastic Art and Writing Silver Key. In addition to her academic success, she has represented SHA well in the arts, taking part in SHA’s Chamber Ensemble and at the Long Island String Festival. She will continue her studies at Boston College in the fall.
Olivia Christel, SHA’s Salutatorian, has also received various accolades in and out of the classroom. She is a member of SHA’s Speech and Debate and Math teams, as well as the Chamber Chorus. Her academic accolades include recognition as a National Merit Commended Scholar, the National Spanish Exam Gold Medal and the Scholastic Art and Writing Silver Key. Olivia was a member of SHA’s varsity volleyball team and is the recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award. She will be continuing her education at Georgetown University in the fall.
Sacred Heart Academy’s Class of 2022 will graduate with a ceremony in the Sister Virginia Crowley Theatre at SHA on Saturday, June 4.
