Cross Country Runs with Heart at CHSAA Intersectionals

Sacred Heart Academy Varsity and JV Cross Country Teams ran with heart at the CHSAA Intersectionals.
Both Varsity and JV placed 2nd overall. The JV team was led by Kim Hopkins, who placed 3rd overall. Devin Parchment was close behind in 5th place and Shannon Maier placed 7th. Brigid Byrnes, Courtney Cummings, Deirdre Nolty and Hannah O'Neill rounded out the top 7.
The Varsity team was led by Maggie Maier who placed 3rd overall in the Varsity race. Marie Naudus was the second runner in placing 8th overall and Shannon Thieke was the third runner in placing 16th. Sophia Fitzpatrick was right behind placing 17th, Helen Moloney placed 20th, Courtney Koleda placed 22nd, and Bridget Rosso placed 25th. This resulted in a 2nd place finish overall behind Notre Dame Academy by only 9 points.
Due to this great finish, the Varsity team earned a spot to compete in the New York State Federation MEet at Bowdoin Park on November 23.
